Who I am
Howdy, I’m Xander. I’ve been passionate about sound since I was born to a musical family in Los Angeles, California. While I began in music, performing and studying through my Music Technology degree from NYU, I have found my talents in Sound Design and Mix over the past few years. All while composing music for artists, advertisements and films.
Experience
Experience
I spent my childhood learning a variety of musical instruments at my father’s small Music Teaching Center in Los Angeles. From there, I began to play in bands and venues throughout Los Angeles and New York. I enrolled in my dream school NYU to study Music Technology to help master my technical skills. There, I learned I had a great skill for film, working with some of my Film School friends to compose scores and original sound design. From there, I moved back to Los Angeles to work at a few recording studios, namely Paramount Recording. I spent my almost 2 years there learning how to operate and maintain professional studio equipment as well as recording and working with artists and their teams. I transitioned to Wave Studios in New York to explore more about film sound. I’ve spent the last 5 years there, creating original sound design, mix, and music for award-winning ad campaigns, Films, TV shows and podcasts. In addition, a few of my years were spent working in the Audio Visual space at the Comedy Cellar, Williams Centennial Church and more.
